We will never be what the Saints are. They are a better franchise from top to bottom in every single way you can be. Ryan will never be Brees, Smith will never be Payton, and our fanbase will never be what the Saints fans are.
Watching that game last night I couldn't help but think, "Man, those people look like they have so much fun every Sunday." New Orleans is a ...city of rich culture and historical significance. Atlanta is Frankenstein, built with so many different parts from different places that any sense of culture has long since been diluted. New Orleans has a soul, an identity and those fans share a culture of celebration and togetherness.
Meanwhile, we have a city full of ******* retards who still care about what color skin the person next to them has. Dressing up and chanting and generally just having a big party in the stands was really something to see. I thought I couldn't be any more jealous of them after they won the Lombardi, but I was wrong. I'm jealous that this city and this franchise, as far as sports go, will NEVER be New Orleans.

Comment by Scott Colvin on January 8, 2012 at 1:02am I agree with this very much but I go on to say it's not just New Orlean's but ALL the WhoDat Nation all over Louisiana and beyond...! We are all proud and loud for our boys! The Saints are truly AMERICAS TEAM! (Sorry Cowboys fans!!) The WHODAT nation is the best!
Comment by Charissa Williams on January 6, 2012 at 3:02pm I agree with this post 1,000%. I am from Louisiana and I moved to Atlanta 11 years ago (NEVER BEEN A FALCONS FAN AND NEVER WILL BE). It's such a shame how shallow and narrow-minded 99.99% of this city is. I am flattered by this posting and it makes me love my city (NEW ORLEANS) even more!
Comment by Helena Tiare Olsen on December 31, 2011 at 2:13pm It´s true and it´s kinda sad (for him) if i was him i`d consider moving...NO is the best place on earth, no place like it anywhere!

Comment by James Sims on December 28, 2011 at 9:39pm Wow, I am a native New Orleanian and I am kinda surprised to read that post about how this Atlanta fan envies us as Saints fans and as a franchise from top to bottom. I can't lie and say I'm not flattered by his comments, because I am, but I also at the same time can't help but feel sorry for the guy as well as all the other people who share his view on this. I know exactly what it feels like to be from a city rich in history, culture, and a togetherness that has always been their in my mind. It is almost like instinct you know because I don't ever remember being taught it. It is just something we are born into, and then through the actions of others that you see growing up just reinforce and instill further those values, rituals, and customs that are a part of who we are. I guess this might make us unique somewhat, but until now I never really thought about it. I just assumed that all other cities were into their teams just as much as we were. We are diehards as they say, and are very passionate about our team. I think lots of this come from the years of suffering through the years of mediocre teams and worse. Who can forget the 'Aint's? I can just remember from being a small boy and seeing my dad yelling at the t.v., and wondering what this was about. I went into his room that afternoon in 1979, and he introduced me to our hapless SAINTS. I gotta tell ya', that from that point on I was hooked. It was like a right of passage, him passing on my right to yell at our terrible team while we were in the privacy of our own home, and then getting to bitch and moan with neighbors, friends, co-workers, or any other die-hard fan that was willing to chime in on our bad, bad, teams through the years. You must realize that 1980 was the start of the bag years, and that tells you a lot about our dedication to our terrible team. Now in public we have earned our right to boo, bitch, or heckle our team. If you are an outsider for the other side, you better not talk any smack about our beloved SAINTS. We have earned that right, but you haven't. So I guess when you go through some 20-30 years of bad players, coaches, owners, or just plain bad football, when things turn around and you do become a contender and much more by eventually winning it all, well then wow just imagine it. When Porter finally picked off Manning to seal that win in Superbowl 44, I just can't describe what it was like the feeling after about 30 years of my own depths of despair sprinkled with a few rays of hope along the way were finally vindicated and over. It came at the expense of one of our own sons in Peyton Manning, which was kind of weird and bittersweet, but it didn't matter who at that point. They could have pushed over my grandma on their way to that TD, and I wouldn't have minded. Much, Lol. I digress, but you get my meaning. After all those years, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. We were Champions. Yes, and all the jokes about hell freezing over, were no more. So I'm sure all the years of losing, along with the SAINTS being the only professional sports team in town, gave the whole city this kind of togetherness that is just kind of instinctual like I said earlier. You know New Orleans is also known for crime and racism, but when it came to those 3 hours on Sunday, all that stopped temporarily. No matter your skin color, economic status, or who you know or where you lived, we were all in it together when it comes to our SAINTS. When we get in that Superdome together, you rarely if ever see any fights or fighting amongst ourselves. Same thing applied to the seating as it pertained to price level. Didn't matter, if you had a $10 seat or a $500 seat. We will come together and cheer as one our beloved team. Again, we have all earned the right as it was passed down to us from fathers to sons through the years that no matter what we will go down together or rise to the top together. I know it goes without saying too, that the whole hurricane "Katrina" dis
